Belgrade-based "Digit" won award for information system "Edis" – IT Association of Serbia selected most successful companies


The IT Association of Serbia has granted the award to Belgrade-based company “Digit” for information system “Edis”, which facilitates management of power supply and electricity companies. That system is used in the system of the Power Supply Company of Serbia, which covers more than one third of the territory of Serbia, and it enables distribution of bills to more than 1m consumers.
Company "E-smart systems" has won the award for the software system for remote reading of electric meters, which enables daily control of the situation in the network and the analysis of information.
Company "Krojač web dizajn" has received the award for Internet portal “Suveniri Srbije” (Souvenirs of Serbia) for sale and promotion of souvenirs and presentation of old handicrafts.
The award for scientific work has been granted to Bojan Bakmaz for the work dedicated to wireless heterogenous networks, such as wireless fixed access "WiMax" and wireless "WiFi" networks. Company "Coming" has won the praise for virtualization of the server for "Eurosong", thanks to which the journalists who watched the contest in Belgrade last year worked on the computers without housings, which were connected by so-called “thin clients” that save both equipment and electricity.
The second praise has been won by Milutin Atanacković for the portal of Saborna Crkva (Cathedral) in Belgrade www.saborna-crkva.com where he tried to represent the church in an accessable way.
