"Days of Sarajevo" in Belgrade – May 14-17

The third "Days of Sarajevo" festival will be organized in Belgrade between May 14 and 17, 2009.

- During four festival days, the audience in Belgrade will be able to get information on the cultural stage of Sarajevo, the plays performed in Sarajevo’s theaters, the films shown at the Sarajevo Film Festival, as well as on exhibitions and performances of artists from that city – people from “Youth Initiative for Human Rights” organization announced.

The festival will include several concerts that will be given by the musicians from Sarajevo and Belgrade’s and Sarajevo’s DJs, and the programme will be supplemented by public panel discussions about various themes from the recent joint past of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Festival "Days of Sarajevo" is organized in Belgrade every year in May to mark the beginning of the siege of Sarajevo.

The aim of the festival is to help establishment of connections and to stimulate development of communication between the young people from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, based on understanding and acceptance of the joint past.

The festival programme is conceived in the way to enable the artists from Sarajevo to present clear image of different aspects of their city and the life in it.
