"Zdravlje" obtained license to sell drugs in EU

Following the granting of EU GMP certificate by Danish drugs agency, company "Zdravlje Actavis" has also obtained the license to sell its products from the Leskovac-based factory in the market of France. The first quantities of glimepirid pills, oral hypoglicemic, which is a part of the treatment for diabetes, are intended for Danish market where they will appear at the beginning of May.

- Our aim is to make it possible for “Zdravlje” to enter the market of European Union through the transfer of "Actavis" products - Milan Marković, the Production Transfer Manager in "Zdravlje Actavis", pointed out.

This is the first export of products to European Union in the history of the Leskovac-based company. The officials of "Zdravlje" reminded that 30m EUR had been invested in development of the company since it had been privatized in 2003.

The Director General of "Zdravlje Actavis", Goran Stojilković, says that about 16m EUR has been invested in modernization of complete production process according to the requests of EU GMP standard.
