"Metalac" opened boiler factory with annual production capacity of 250,000 boilers

The Prime Minister of Serbia, Mirko Cvetković, has put the machines in “Metalac’s” new boiler factory in operation by pressing the button. In the presence of workers of "Metalac", business partners of the company and large number of citizens of Milanovac, he said that "putting of a factory in operation at this time represents a significant contribution in the fight against economic crisis”, and that the Government of Serbia “will keep supporting such projects in the future”.

The CEO of "Metalac", Petrašin Jakovljević, said that 6m EUR had been invested in the factory, and that its annual production capacity amounted to 250,000 boilers.

At the ceremony that was occasioned by the 50th anniversary of the company, Dragoljub Vukadinović, the President of the Administrative Board, said the following:

– We entered the year of crisis with over 80m EUR worth of incomes, 20m EUR worth of export to about 20 countries and 5m EUR worth of profit. The crisis will, unfortunately, break many companies, but the established values of “Metalac” and the faith in our own strength make us capable enough to create business opportunities at the time of the largest crisis. The life has taught us that even the most difficult time can be the best for important decisions – Vukadinović said optimistically.
