New projects with Russian Railways worth USD 500 million – Construction works progressing on Stara Pazova–Novi Sad railway

Realization of new projects such as the construction of a dispatcher center, reconstruction of the Belgrade-Bar railway and additional work on Stara Pazova-Novi Sad railway were some of the topics discussed in a meeting between the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mmihajlovic and senior vice-president of Russian Railways Alexander Misharin held on Friday, October 12, 2018.

Those project are worth USD 500 million and Mihajlovic said that Misharin had visited the construction work on Belgrade-Budapest high-speed railway, the Stara Pazova- Novi Sad section, which is financed with a Russian loan.

– Misharin is pleased with the works , 38% of which are being carried out on the viaduct and the tunnel, the minister said on the joint press conference.

She pointed out that she the thing she was most proud about were the reforms in the railway sector in Serbia.

Mihajlovic told the press that they also talked about the forthcoming visit of the president of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to Serbia which was planned for January 2019.
