State prepares measures to help media

The Ministry of Culture of Serbia has launched the initiative for defining of the temporary aid measures for printed and electronic media at the time of the financial crisis.

The Assistant for media sector in the Ministry of Culture, Nataša Vučković-Lesendrić, said yesterday (March 31st, 2009) at the press conference that two task forces would be formed to determine temporary aid measures for media in Serbia, and she explained that they would be comprising the members of the journalist associations and organizations.

The Assistant to the Minister of Culture said that the proposals for temporary aid measures for local media should be announced within the next four weeks.
