New sale of Jugoremedija Zrenjanin advertised

The bankruptcy supervisor of Jugoremedija has advertised a new sale of the Zrenjanin-based pharmaceutical plant. Unlike the previous attempts, the purchaser is now sought through public bidding.

The initial price is 50% of the estimated value of the factory, nearly RSD 1.95 billion, and the documentations costs RSD 500,000.

As Radovan Savic, the bankruptcy supervisor, says for eKapija, after three unsuccessful attempts at a sale, one of which was canceled after a complaint by the Board of Creditors, it was decided for the method to change, so as to increase the chances of Jugoremedija getting a new owner. He cites transparency and the rule by which the bankruptcy supervisor decides on the price in the potential next sale as the advantages of public bidding.

– There are interested purchasers this time as well, but the price will probably be the deciding factor in the end. The main problem is still how to return Jugoremedija's permits for the marketing of 22 medicaments, which is currently the subject of a litigation at the Commercial Court of Zrenjanin, which the ministry says should be resolved soon – Savic says.

He points out that the facilities are currently not operational, but that they are in a great condition and that a new purchaser might soon initiate the production.

The most important pieces of property of Jugoremedija include the industrial complex of the factory, the accompanying equipment, an apartment, 28 motor vehicles, the inventory... The sale also includes intellectual property – 21 medical drug trademarks and the litigation concerning the recovery of the permits for the marketing of 22 drugs at the Commercial Court in Zrenjanin.

The offer also includes 9 trademarked medical products and 12 generic medical products for which Jugoremedija owns the entire technological procedure.

The public bidding will take place on November 5, at 12 o'clock.
