First flying car to be launched

The world's first flying car will be available for order next month. Chinese company Terrafugia is preparing to launch the vehicle called Transition, which can turn from a car to an aircraft in only one minute.

The aircraft can fly at 160 kilometers per hour. The most prominent aspect of Transition are its folding wings.

– Transition is the world's first practical flying car – Terrafugia says.

Transition is a two-seat roadable light sport aircraft, which features wings that fold and unfold, converting between flight and drive modes in under a minute.

The recent improvements include a hybrid-electric engine, upgraded seats, more luggage space, a better camera coverage, a new parachute system and increased safety.

Transition can fly for up to 640 kilometers.
