"Simpo" from Vranje to furnish University Village – 1,000 beds for basketball players

All workers in Vranje-based "Simpo" are engaged in production of furniture for the University Village in Belgrade.

The carrier of the Consortium, “Simpo’s” company “Simpo Line”, which offered the most favorable terms on the tender for furnishment of the facilities for the University Games, is obliged to furnish 14 pavilions for accommodation of 10,000 students sportsmen prior to May 31st. The Director General of "Simpo", Slađan Disić, said that the job was worth 506m RSD. Company "Simpo Line" has been entrusted with the works on production and installation of furniture in the facilities in the University Village. Once the international sports manifestation is over, the workers of “Simpo Line” are to disassemble and move the furniture from the University Village’s pavillions.

– Furnishing of the facilities for the University Games is of huge importance not only to “Simpo”, but also to Serbia. "Simpo" is now one of the greatest partners of the Universiade. We have the opportunity to show the world that we are able to manufacture top-quality goods and that we respect the production and delivery deadlines. The furniture for the Universiade is being produced in the furniture and mattress factories. We have the capacities that are big enough for five such events. Total of 550 people work on this project – said Slađan Disić, the Director General.

Company "Simpo line" is bound by the contract to deliver 10,000 beds, 7,586 working tables, 17,000 chairs, 4,250 two-wing and 1,750 one-wing wardrobes. "Simpo’s" furniture factory will also manufacture 1,000 beds for basketball players, volleyball players and other sportsmen who are over 2 meters high.

Once the Universiade ends, the furniture will be disassembled and moved to the dormitories all around Serbia.
