European banks accepted to continue crediting Serbian economy sector – Radovan Jelašić made agreement with 10 banks

The mother offices of 10 European banks that operate in Serbia are willing to continue crediting our economy sector. That is the result of the meeting between the Governor of NBS, Radovan Jelašić, and the representatives of IMF and the banks’ management, which was organized on Friday (March 27, 2009) in Vienna.
Intesa, Raiffeisen, Hypo Alpe-Adria, Eurobank EFG, National Bank of Greece, UniCredit, Societe Generale, Alpha, Volks and Piraeus Bank agreed to maintain the overall level of loans, and to back the economic reforms in Serbia that are anticipated by the arrangement with IMF.
