Protocol signed for Sagem’s investment in Niš – the French to invest 6m EUR and employ 250 people within next five years

The Government of Serbia and city of Niš signed the Protocol on cooperation with French company “Sagem” on March 27th, 2009, which is going to enable opening of the unit for production of electric meters of the French company in Niš-based Electronic Industry (EI).

Following the signing of the Protocol, the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, Božidar Đelić, said that “Sagem” would invest 1m EUR in the factory during the first year, and that minimum 6m EUR would be invested and 250 people employed in the factory within the next five years.

The President of the Administrative Board of "Sagem", Patrick Sevian, announced that the installation of production units in Niš would commence in few months.
