"Zastava" and "Delta" - "punto" dealers

The exclusive right to sell automobiles manufactured in the Kragujevac-based factory will be given to "Delta auto" and three or four "Zastava’s" companies. While seeking the best solution, the representatives of Italian "Fiat" in Serbia have been talking with the number of local automobile sellers over the last 30 days, but only these two (aforementioned) names emerged as possible dealers. The final decision should be made in as short time as possible, most probably before the forthcoming Automobile Show.

When asked if it wasn’t odd that "Zastava’s" retail companies had managed to satisfy such strict criteria, the Italians said that the dealers would be asked to reach the high level of quality because "Zastava" had potentials, but they also said that no company would get job unless it met the criteria.

The whole network of dealers, starting from the looks of the facility, the method of sale and servicing services, to the customer relations, will be under direct control of "Fiat". Concerning the fact that the Italians are not going to invest in the retail network and that it is going to be the obligation of the dealers themselves, the dealers will have to fulfill their obligations in order to keep the job.

At this moment, it can not be said how quickly the network will grow and how many cities will be covered, but people in "Fiat" count on minimum one car shop center in every major town in Serbia. Therefore, there should be over 100 of them. The date of the commencement of work of the network of “Fiat’s” dealers has not been determined yet, but it is possible that it will be announced next week, during the automobile fashion week at the Belgrade Trade Fair.
