"Wiener Stadtische" in Serbia registers growth of life insurance premium - 46,000 contracts in 2008

Insurance company "Wiener Stadtische" in Serbia announced that it had increased the gross life insurance premium in 2008 by 16%, to 1.73 billion RSD.

According to the announcement, "Wiener Stadtische" ended the year 2008 with more than 46,000 life insurance contracts.

The average premium amounted to about 500 EUR, while the average length of insurance was 19 years.

In 2008 the company paid the life insurance premiums in total amount of 260m RSD.

The share of life insurance in the portfolio of "Wiener Stadtische" amounted to 39.4%.
