French "Sagem" to open factory for production of electric meters in Niš – contract to be signed on March 27

- The representatives of French "SAGEM" will come to Niš on March 27th to sign the contract with Electronic Industry "Niš" on opening of the factory of electric meters - Miloš Simonović, the Mayor of Niš, announced.

After he spoke to Jean-Francois Terral, the Ambassador of France to Belgrade, he said that about 250 workers should be employed in that unit.

- The signing of the contract will be enabled by the mediation of the Government of Serbia – said Simonović.

The Mayor also announced that the construction of business - distributive center of French company “Mr. Bricolage” in Niš would commence in May and that about 200 people would be employed in that center.

Simonović said that the construction of the center of the French market chain in Niš’s settlement Duvanište should be completed prior to November 2009.

As he explained, all the contracts have been signed and there are no obstacles for commencement of construction of the center of the company that produces complete equipment and materials for construction of houses.
