"Jat Airways" to become owner of stocks of Macedonian airliner – agreement on strategic partnership

Serbian national airliner "Jat Airways" will soon become the owner of certain number of stocks of Macedonian air transportation company MAT. This was agreed on yesterday (March 19, 2009), in Skopje, at the meeting between Saša Vlaisavljević, the President of the Administrative Board of "Jat", and Zlatko Petrovski, the Director General of MAT.

In that way, Macedonian airliner will, actually, settle the debt to "Jat", which exceeds 10m USD.

The agreement on strategic partnership was reached on that occasion, and the task force was formed to estimate within 30 days if “JAT” was going to become majority or minority owner of the Macedonian airliner. The possibility of maintenance of MAT’s airplanes in “Jat Tehnika” was also taken in consideration.
