Additional capitalization of Univerzal Banka until end of 2005

Univerzal banka a.d. operates successfully for 14 years already. Today, it is privatized banking institution that has over 400 stockholders. About 20 stockholders are majority owners and these are all big companies such as "Velefarm" and "Globos osiguranje", whereas only 8% belongs to public companies and funds. The network of its branches spreads all over Serbia. In Belgrade, one can use services of this bank on 5 locations. The bank carries out all foreign currency-credit businesses and payment operations with foreign countries and it has accounts in foreign banks in 10 countries of the world.
Long-term strategic goal of this bank is to participate on financial market with 10% of potentials. Its current share amounts to somewhat below 5%. In 2004, growth of balance sum was over 40%, while collected finances were increased by 50%, and personal by 20%. Foreign currency savings were doubled, whereas the number of clients rose by 30%. In 2004, € 1.5m was emitted and that entire emission was sold within one month. The next one of at least € 2m will be emitted in 2005. Parallely with additional capitalization, maintenance of profitability rate on the level above the other banks is planned. Current profitability rate of Univerzal banka is above 10%, whereas it amounted to about 12% in 2004. In 2004, the plan was that share of the assets in cash reaches amount of € 20m, but, due to turbulence in exchange rates, it amounted to € 19m, which is above the census that was € 10m. In 2005, the plan is to revive businesses, first of all businesses with population. At the moment, the bank has about 10,000 issued Dina cards. In 2005, it is expected that all forms of deposit potentials will rise by 30%, so that the capital funds income rate will amount to 10 - 12% and assets income will amount to about 4 %.
