"Neobus" and VDL signed the contract worth 25m EUR – buses of Novi Sad-based company in streets of Dutch, German and French cities

The buses produced in factory "Neobus" will soon appear at the bus stations in the cities in Netherlands, Germany and France. This Novi Sad-based company has started cooperation with Dutch company VDL, one of the largest bus manufacturers in Europe.

The contract, worth 25m EUR, anticipates production of 150 vehicles per year, exclusively for the market of EU. The first prototypes should leave the factory in few days.

As the CEO of “Neobus”, Radenko Kostić, explains, the deal was made last year. The Dutch have decided for this business move because "Neobus" is the only bus factory in the Balkans that has necessary licenses for production of buses for the EU market.

The Dutch company, as Kostić explains, sought a partner for production of the new type of intercity bus, which was introduced in 2005, and "Neobus" met all the criteria.
