Tendering for sale of Port of Novi Sad announced – Initial price at EUR 15 million

Ministry of Economy of Republic of Serbia has published an ad for sale of 99.4% of Port of Novi Sad company shares at the initial price of EUR 15,98 million.

All companies in port business with continued operations in the last ten years , turnover of at least EUR 30 million in 2017 and transloading efficiency of 1.4 million tons per year in the last three years are eligible to participate in tendering.

Application deadline for participation in tendering is October 22, and the opening of bids is scheduled for October 24.

Port Of Novi Sad is the only port which is majority-owned by the state, transships over a million tons of goods per year and has capacities larger than 2,5 tons. The company employs around 150 workers.

According to the Government of Serbia, some of the most reputable companies in the port business are expected to participate in tendering such as Dubai Port World from the United Arab Emirates, Germany’s Rhenus and the American Valona Group.
