Workers of Autosaobraćaj Kragujevac to give €1.1m worth of stocks of company to director as a gift ?!

The workers, who hold property over 36,000 of total of 60,000 stocks, started to sign contracts on opening and keeping of securities accounts and, at the same time, they are signing contracts on donation of their stocks to director Dragan Popovski. This gift worth about €1.1m was organized by Independent Trade Union and Trade Union Nezavisnost.

The contract on donation is signed on voluntary basis only. The director is obliged to guarantee jobs to the workers. Besides, director will, if he becomes majority owner, have to guarantee jobs to the children of present workers, regular salaries, as well as that the name of the company will not be changed and that the company will not be sold without the decision of the Assembly of Stockholders.

The poll shows that 90% of workers agreed to these terms.
