Internet portal "Film In Serbia", which was
presented in Belgrade on March 13th, will be providing the
foreigners with the information on the benefits of filming in Serbia, which is
a part of the efforts for presentation of domestic film industry as more
competitive than the ones in the surrounding countries.
Portal www.filminserbia.com has been
created within the scope of the USAID’s Project for Development of Serbia’s
Competitiveness, in association with local producing companies, and it contains
the data on production and postproduction services, the examples of shooting
locations, as well as information on realized co-productions, teams and
equipment.
The promotion of the portal in gallery "Superspace" gathered large number of guests, one of which was Nebojša Bradić, the Minister of Culture, while Ana Ilić, one of the key people of the project, said to the guests that Serbia, as filming location, was between 15 and 20% cheaper than Romania, the greatest rival in that domain.
Nebojša Bradić said that the Government of Serbia, in addition to financing modern production of Serbian film, would provide “additional support”. According to his words, the stimuli for film "will be granted through legal regulations governing the tax reliefs for filming industry and (through) super-guarantee fund for crediting movies".
