- So far, total of 32 public companies on the territory of the city of Valjevo have been privatized, and their overall selling price exceeds 20m EUR – the Privatization Agency announced.

The new majority owners promised to invest 6.76m EUR in the companies.

The auctions have been organized for 31 companies, while "Valjevoput" has been sold on the tender at the price of 1.57m EUR.

The mandatory investment in that company amounts to 2.73m EUR, and its owner is Hungarian company "Betonut". The buyers of the other privatized companies are from Serbia.

The Agency has, so far, cancelled four contracts because the new owners failed to fulfill contractual obligations.

The contracts with the buyers of VIK and "Jablanice" have been cancelled because they were unable to maintain the continuity of operations, while the new owners of "Valjevoprojekt" and "Brđan" did not pay the agreed price on time.

Another 4 Valjevo-based public companies should be privatized – public informative company Radio Valjevo, public company Regional Television Valjevo, stockholding company "Krušik-Armature" and stockholding company "Krušik-Fabrika mašina i opreme".
