Industrial production in Serbia in July 2018 increases by 1.7% compared to July 2017

The industrial production in Serbia, in July 2018 increased by 1.7% relative to July 2017, said the official statement by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia. The industrial production in Serbia in the period January - July 2018, when compared to the same period 2017, increased by 3.7%.


The statement added that manufacturing recorded the increase of 3.4% compared to July 2017, the section of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply recorded the fall of 0.4%, and the section of mining and quarrying recorded the fall of 8.3%.

In the January–July 2018 period, relative to the same period 2017, the section of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply recorder the growth of 7.3%, the section of manufacturing recorder growth of 3.4%, and the section of mining and quarrying recorder the fall of 1.0%.

When the assessment of the industrial production of small-size enterprises with the number of employees less than 50 that were not included in regular statistical surveys but were followed on a sample of the selected units of the section of manufacturing is included, the overall industrial production in July 2018 compared to 2017 average decreased by 0.3% and manufacturing increased by 2.1%.
