Tender for Dimitrovgrad-Niš railway in June

- Tender for overhaul and refurbishment of Dimitrovgrad-Niš railway, 60 km long, will be announced in June, and the works should start in October – Vladimir Radić, the Investment Director in “Serbian Railways”, said today (March 12, 2009).

- The value of that project is 37m EUR, and it will be partially financed from the loan of the European Investment Bank (EIB) – Radić explained.

Works on electrification and installation of signaling system will be carried out in the second phase of the project, and the estimated value of the works is 66m EUR – said Radić and added that it was expected that all the works on Niš-Dimitrovgrad railway section would be finished in two years.
