High Distinction for cargo-partner’s Environmental Activities

Frankfurt, February 26th, 2009: cargo-partner, an international logistics group, received high praise for its environmental activities from Lufthansa Cargo AG at the international level. On the occasion of the environmental conference “Cargo Climate Care Conference” on 26 February, 2009, in Frankfurt, cargo-partner was honoured with the “Cargo Climate Award 2009”.
In order to encourage environmental activities internally and externally of the internationally active group of companies, the company founded “Environmental cargo-partners“. Co-operations with other interested parties, for instance research and development of environmentally friendly technologies, also take place via this platform. Student groups, such as one at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, which works on concepts for “advanced open rotors” and “blended wing body aircraft”, are supported.
Owner and chairman of the board, Stefan Krauter, defines environmental responsibility as just as important a corporate goal as cargo-partner group's economic management.
The group’s environmental program’s goal is to decrease its own environmental impact by approximately 120 tons of CO2 per year and, to indirectly reduce, through the area of impact of transportation logistics, by approximately 13,000 tons of CO2 per year.
