"Lexmark" opened branch office in Serbia - US company took over its own distributor in Serbian market - "Ceemark"

American IT company "Lexmark" announced today (March 11, 2009) that it had taken over its own distributor in Serbian market - company "Ceemark" - and, thus, founded the branch office in Serbia.

The Director of "Lexmark" for Serbia, Ivan Stanković, said that the value of that takeover was business secret. "Ceemark" is the authorized distributor of "Lexmark" products since 2002.

As he explained, the office in Belgrade will be regional office, and it will cover the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. It will have 7 workers, while additional three people will be hired by the end of the year.


Stanković said "Lexmark" had been present in Serbia, through distributors, since year 2002, and that the company had sold total of 200,000 printers, while the annual turnover amounted to about 7m USD.

According to his words, although the financial crisis hit all markets, "Lexmark", which produces printers, is nog going to give up the plans and investments in the market of Serbia.

"Lexmark" has donated 90 printers to secondary schools in Belgrade today.

That American company operates in more than 150 countries and it has annual turnover of about 5 billion USD and 13,000 workers. "Lexmark" uses 25% of recycled raw materials for packaging, which is also suitable for recycling.
