- The meeting of the Intergovernment commission for economic cooperation between Slovakia and Serbia will be held on March 26 and 27 – Slovakian Ambassador to Belgrade, Igor Furdik, announced today (March 11, 2009).

He said that that meeting would be organized in Belgrade, and that the previous cooperation would be analyzed and the possibilities of future economic relations taken in consideration on that occasion.

Explaining that the value of Slovakian annual export to Serbia amounts to about 350m EUR, while the import from Serbia is worth about 160m EUR, Furdik estimated that there had been disproportion in trade exchange, but he pointed out that that could be fixed.

According to his words, Slovakia mainly exports products of automobile and metal industry to Serbia, and imports steel and agricultural products from that country.
