Czech Republic is willing to finance modernization of railway Corridor 10 if its companies participate in works

Czech Republic is willing to credit modernization of railway Corridor 10 in Serbia with 300m EUR, but only under the condition that Czech companies participate in the works.
- If Czech consortium "Eniksus" gets the job to modernize and electrify certain parts of Corridor 10, we will use the standard export support instrument and Czech Export Bank will approve that loan - Matijaš Vitek from the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade said in the interview for new issue of weekly magazine "Tiden".
The Czech consortium has already given such offer to “Serbian Railways”, and the Czechs specified that they were interested in the works on the following sections of that corridor: Belgrade-Kovačevac, Rakovica-Velika Plana, and Niš-Preševo-Macedonian border.
- We’ve given such offer, but we still don’t know whether Serbian side accepts it. It is possible that "Serbian Railways" would like to announce classical tender – the spokesperson of the consortium, Tatjana Peliškova, told “Tiden”.
