Work Group for Belgrade subway construction overseeing formed

The constitutive session of the Work Group for support to overseeing the construction of the Belgrade subway was held yesterday at the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, to the end of defining its goals and consider the planning and legal framework for the realization of the construction of the subway, the ministry announced.

The task of the Work Group, presided over by Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic, is to provide support to the overseeing of the construction of the subway, as well to define the dynamics of the realization.

It was said at the meeting that the idea was to make a combination of two subway lines and BG Voz, considering that a rail system already exists in Belgrade, as well as that the construction of the subway would contribute to an accelerated development of the city, with the potential for the construction of a large number of residential and business facilities.

The session was attended by Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic, Assistant Mayor Andreja Mladenovic, as well as representatives of the City Administration, the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure and Infrastructure of Serbian Railways.
