(Illustration) The Annual Meat Roast in Stopanja will be held from September 7 through 9, 2018, in Stopanja, Municipality of Trstenik.

As announced by the organizers, this is an economic-promotional and entertainment event, emphasizing the tradition and the special gastronomic features of the area, and was started to the end of increasing the number of transit tourists in this part of Serbia.

The village of Stopanja, as said in the announcement, has the biggest number of meat roast facilities per capita in Serbia, and the first one opened in the 1930s. Eight such facilities are now located along the Krusevac-Kraljevo state road, which passes through the village.

This is the second Meat Roast in Stopanja. Last year, over 20,000 people visited the village in two days.
