Biomed looking for new owner – Producer of weight loss products offered for EUR 250,000

The once famous company Biomed, which used to sell popular weight loss products in Serbia, has been put up for sale at the price of EUR 250,000.

The information was confirmed for Blic by the company.

The ad, published on the Kupujem-Prodajem website, says that the offer includes Biomed d.o.o, a factory of 800 m2 and two hectares of land, as well as full equipment for the packing of honey and honey-based products and product formulas.

It is also emphasized that the company owns a 160-m deep well in Zaklopaca near Belgrade.

– The company owns all verification documents for the export to Europe, Russia and America – the ad emphasizes.

The ad is accompanied with eight photographs showing the facilities, factory halls and equipment.

According to the data of the Business Registers Agency, Biomed has been operating with losses for five years now. Although the net loss was negligible in 2013, amounting to RSD 96,000, in 2014 it was already at RSD 4.06 million. In 2015, it amounted to RSD 5.8 million and then dropped a bit to RSD 3.5 million two years ago. Last year, the loss amounted to around RSD 430,000.

Biomed's products were the most popular local weight loss products for a long time, Blic reminds.

The company produces and sells natural honey-based products, the most popular of which are those for weight loss, increase of muscle mass, against smoking, against alcoholism, but also the product for reducing mobile phone radiation.

The company was founded in Belgrade 1990 and is registered as a micro company. In 2014, they had eight employees, and now they have only one worker. Biomed's products are also available in America, Australia, Sweden, Norway, Greece, Italy, France, Germany, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait...
