Public debt of Serbia in June amounts to EUR 24 billion, or 59.7% of GDP

The public debt of Serbia amounted to EUR 24.03 billion, or 59.7% of the GDP, at the end of June 2018, the Ministry of Finance announced.

This is a slight drop of the public debt compared to the previous month, when it amounted to EUR 24.12 billion, or 59.9% of the GDP.

At the end of 2017, the public debt was EUR 23.22 billion, or 61.6% of the GDP.


The lowest share of the public debt in the GDP was recorded in 2008, when it amounted to EUR 8.78 billion in nominal terms (28.3% of the GDP), whereas the biggest share, 201.2% of the GDP, was recorded in 2000.
