Commencement of refurbishment of tramway in Resavska Street in April – works to last for four months

Refurbishment and reconstruction of tramway, contact network, lanes and pavement in Resavska Street and refurbishment of tramway loop Tašmajdan will start at the beginning of April. These works will cost 321.8m RSD, 300m RSD of which will be provided from the loan of the European Investment Bank, while 21.8m RSD will be set aside from the city budget.

- The works should start at the beginning of April, and they should be completed in 120 days. We do not expect significant disturbances in the functioning of traffic during these works. This job is a part of the project for refurbishment of city of Belgrade, of which realization commenced in 2005. That project implies refurbishment of 33 km of tramway, reconstruction of South Boulevard, Partizanski Road, the section between Slavija and Žička Street, and elaboration of traffic management project – said Branko Smiljanić, the Deputy Secretary of Transportation.
