A recent study carried out at the Hannover Medical School has shown that 7% of adults exhibit some kind of a shopping-related compulsive disorder, and the number has grown in the past two decades in America and Europe.
As Astrid Muller of the Hannover Medical School says, there’s an increasing need for the recognition and a better understanding of this dangerous condition.

The disorder develops regardless of the income, and the items bought are not always expensive.
