Business Forum of Association of Economists on Kopaonik mountain between March 3 and 5

The Business Forum of the Association of Economists of Serbia on the influence of the global economic crisis on the economy in Serbia and the growth at the time of global recession and financial crisis will start tomorrow (March 3rd, 2009) on Kopaonik mountain.

According to the announcement of the organizers, the meeting, which will last until Thursday, March 5, will be attended by the Prime Minister of Serbia, Mirko Cvetković, Deputy Prime Ministers Božidar Đelić and Mlađan Dinkić, the Minister of Finance, Diana Dragutinović, and the Governor of the National Bank of Serbia, Radovan Jelašić.

The themes at the meeting of the representatives of the Government of Serbia, economists, foreign investors and Serbian entrepreneurs will be: the control of monopoly, the funding of local self-government, harmonization of the financial sector with the new EU regulations, and the initiatives for improvement of competitiveness.

According to the website of the Association of Economists of Serbia, the meeting will also be attended by the President of the Administrative Board of “Petroleum Industry of Serbia“, Dmitrij Mališev, and the Director General of company “Fiat Automobili Srbija“, Giovani de Filipis.

According to the organizers, the aim of the Business Forum is to find the solution for paradoxal problem that forces Serbia to grow at the time of global reduction of level of economic activities.

"Kopaonik Business Forum" is organized by the Association of Economists of Serbia and the Association of Corporate Managers of Serbia, under the patronage of the Government of Serbia.
