Average net salary in Romania in June EUR 585

The average monthly salary in Romania in June amounted to RON 2,721 (EUR 585.7) and is higher by 14.3% in nominal terms and 8.4% in real terms compared to June 2017.

On a monthly level, the average salary grew by 0.6%, Agerpres writes, as reported by Tanjug.

According to the National Institute for Statistics (INS), employees in the coke and oil product sector were paid the highest net salaries, RON 6,591 (EUR 1,418), whereas the lowest salaries were paid to employees at hotels and restaurants – RON 1,557 (EUR 335).

The average gross salary in Romania in June 2018 amounted to RON 4,527 (EUR 974.5), which is 0.7% more compared to the previous month.
