Average January's net salary in Serbia 28.877 dinars

Average January's net salary in Serbia was 28.887 dinars (307 euros), which is nominally lower by 15,9% and realisticaly lower by 17,9% than in December of the last year, as it was announced today (February, 25th, 2009) by the Republic's Statistical Institute.

As it stands, the average January's salary of this year was nominally higher by 13,8%, and realisticaly by 3,8% than in the same month of 2008.

Average salary in Serbia, with taxes and contributions, was in January 40.245 dinars (424 euros), which is nominally lower by 15,9%, and realisticaly by 17,9% than in December of the last year.

The statistics say that average gross salary of the January of 2009 was by 14,1% higher, and realisticaly by 4,1% higher than in the same month of the last year.

Since January, the Institute has started including in its calculations of average salaries, salaries paid to the employees of enteprisers, besides salaries of th workers in various companies, institutions, bureaus and other organizations.

Salaries were calculated in euros by today's official middle exchange rate of the National bank of Serbia, which is for 1 euro: 94,1739 dinars.
