Matthew Perkins is the new General Manager of “U.S. Steel Serbia”

The new General Manager and Vice-President of “U.S.Steel Serbia” company will be Matthew Perkins starting from March, 1st, as it was announced today (February, 24th, 2009) by this Smederevo based iron factory.

As it stands in the announcement, Mr. Perkins will be put at the position of the General Manager of the iron factory in Serbia instead of Richard Veitech who will be returning to United States.

Mr. Perkins (41 years old) has worked from 2003-2006 in “U.S.Steel Serbia”, after which he returned to the iron factory in Detroit, from where he was transferred in 2007 to Slovakia’s steel factory “Kosice” to be its Vice-President.

At the position in Serbia, Mr. Perkins will be responsible for all activities in the plants of “U.S.Steel” in Smederevo, Sabac and Kucevo.

Present General Manager of Smederevo based company, Richard Veitech was named General Manager of American iron factory “Granite City Works”, located near Saint Luis, in the state of Missouri.
