The acting director of the PE Roads of Serbia, Zoran Drobnjak, stated today that the company was not giving up on increasing the toll and that it would send a request to the Government of Serbia in September, as it lacks EUR 100 million on an annual level for road maintenance.

He said on TV Prva that they would also send memos to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Construction.

– We will send a request soon, say, in September, for the toll increase next year, beginning with January or February – Drobnjak said.

He confirmed that there were increasingly more vehicles on roads in Serbia each year and that there would be 54.5 million in 2018, whereas there had been 49 million in 2017.

Drobnjak also said that the toll in Serbia was the cheapest in the entire Europe.
