The Belgrade-based newspaper says that, in the past month, PKB has been visited by representatives of a Chinese company and an Arabian company.
The article says that it is likely that the majority of the company's property will be put up for sale – state agricultural land of around 17,000 hectares, the livestock population, the facilities, the farms and the mechanization. Property not to be offered includes 4,500 hectares of building land, which would formally remain within the old PKB company.
Another item not to be subject to privatization is the water supply system covering all populated areas in Padinska Skela, as well as all property under dispute – eight football clubs, land featuring settlements...
This year, representatives of the unions and the state have had several meetings concerning the privatization, and the latest one took place only a week ago, the Belgrade newspaper says.
According to the presidents of the two unions, a promise has been made that all those who want to keep working for the new employer will be able to do so.
It has also been said that the new employer would have to maintain the volume and the structure of the current production over the next three years, and representatives of the unions reveal that the social program has also been partially agreed.
The state offers severance packages of EUR 450 per year of service for all employees, of which there are around 1,700.
Politika reminds that, under the Law on Privatization, the workers stand to get EUR 200 per year of service, so it is not known who will pay the remaining amount.
