Credit of €60m by World Bank for modernization of port of Ploče

World Bank has approved credit of over €60m to Croatia for modernization of industrial and business port of Ploče. The agreement on payment of the first part of €1.4m, which will be used for elaboration of project for modernization of port of Ploče, was signed by Croatian Minister of Finance Ivan Šuker and vice president of World Bank to Europe and Central Asia Shigeo Katsu. Zagreb plans to make port of Ploče the biggest Croatian business port. Croatian Government expects that World Bank will approve the other two loans worth about €215m in September. These two loans are intended for support to reforms in field of agriculture and education.
