Equipment worth EUR 2,000 and subsidies for sustainable agriculture

The mechanization was delivered to the participants in the municipalities of Arilje, Lucani, Pozega, Bajina Basta, Cajetina and Nova Varos by July 2. The successful realization of the project allowed the equipment to be delivered to another two farmers from Bajina Basta. This equipment was delivered on July 19. All the farmers were very satisfied with the equipment and their participation in the project which has enabled the procurement of new mechanization for a total of 42 people in these 6 municipalities of the Zlatibor District.
All the farmers went through training and attended a seminar, following which they were required to prepared business plans for their farms, with which they applied for the funds with GIZ.
The project is funded by the German organization GIZ and realized by the municipalities of Arilje, Lucani, Pozega, Bajina Basta, Cajetina and Nova Varos, as well as two citizens' associations, Fenomena Kraljevo and the Roma Initiative GRIN from Arilje, and the Regional Development Agency of Zlatibor in Uzice, the website of the municipality of Arilje announces.
