Institute for Construction of Novi Sad and "Ponting" signed contract on elaboration of preliminary project for new bridge - international open competition for contractor in September

The Institute for Construction of Novi Sad and "Ponting" Maribor signed the contract yesterday (February 10, 2009) for elaboration of preliminary project and other studies related to construction of new bridge across the Danube in Novi Sad. The contract is worth 121,705,000 RSD, while the deadline for completion of the project and studies is 200 days.

"Ponting" from Maribor, stock company Center for Roads of Vojvodina Novi Sad and DDC Ltd. Ljubljana have worked together on this project, and their solution for the new bridge on the pillars of the Franc Jozef bridge won on the tender. The representatives of these companies and the CEO of ZIG, Borislav Novaković, were present during the signing of the contract.

ACcording to the words of Novaković, "Ponting" is given 200 calendar days from the moment of introduction to the job, so that the complete elaboration of preliminary projects is expected prior to September 17. International open competition for contractor will be announced in September, and it will be followed by the 60-day period for collecting and 30-day period for evaluation of bids, so that the entire procedure will be finished shortly before the end of the year, while the bridge should be completed by the end of year 2012.
