RADOJEVIĆ: Assembling of "punto" automobiles in Kragujevac starts around March 15th

- Assembling of "punto" automobiles in Kragujevac should start around March 15 – Zoran Radojević, the Director General of “Zastava” Group, confirmed.

- Our people are already in Torino. They are carrying out technical reception of the parts for production, and we expect the production to start around March 15th – he said after the meeting with Giovanni de Filipis, the CEO of company "Zastava automobili Srbija".

According to his words, successive supply of parts from Italy should be completed prior to the beginning of assembling.

- According to the plan, 15,000 “punto” automobiles will be produced on annual basis – he said and added that the number of people who would be working on the assembling of automobiles would depend on the size of production and the supply of parts.

Radojević did not want to specify if there was going to be one or two shifts, and he said that that decision would be made after the beginning of assembling of the initial series.

- The assembly lines are ready, while the lacquer shop still needs certain interventions that are usual after every break in production – he pointed out.

Radojević said that "the daily capacity of production ranges between 40 and 80 vehicles", but he also explained that the size of production would depend on the market.
