Modern automatic meteorological stations will have been installed in ski center Tornik on Zlatibor and on ski track “Sunčana dolina” on Stara Planina mountain by mid-March.
- The sensors that will be measuring the velocity of wind, temperature, air humidity, the thickness of snow, duration of solar radiation and air pressure, will be placed on a pole 10 meters high. The sensor that will be measuring the quantity of precipitations will be installed on an auxiliary pole 2 meters high. The computer that will be installed in the existing small house next to the lower pole will be utilizing GPRS modem to send the data directly to the headquarters of "Skijališta Srbije" in New Belgrade - Branislav Martinović, the Technical Manager of company "Compact mm trade", the supplier of equipment, explained.
Martinović points out that the data will be collected automatically and that, based on that information, the database will be formed for the purpose of later analysis of weather conditions in ski centers. According to his words, certain number of video cameras will be installed and the picture will be broadcast on the website of "Skijališta Srbije".
In addition to the delivery of the system, Belgrade-based "Compact mm trade" will also be responsible for servicing the stations, while the employees in that company will carry out technical reception of meteorological stations in Italian company “Siap+Micros”, the manufacturer of the equipment, before the delivery.
