The Assembly of American Chamber
of Commerce in Serbia has decided to keep Dejan Cvetković on the position of
the President of that association for one more year. Cvetković was appointed as
the President of the Chamber in February 2008.
Cvetković said at the 8th annual General Assembly of the American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia that that association, "as one of the key partners of the Government of Serbia, will work more intensively to reach the common goal – improvement of business environment and promotion of Serbia as an attractive investment destination".
The Ambassador of USA to Belgrade, Cameron Manter, pointed out that it was
necessary that the cooperation with the Government of Serbia be led by the
companies members for the sake of equal treatment of foreign investors, as well
as elimination of corruption and unnecessary bureaucracy.
The companies members also appointed five new members of the Administrative Board at the Assembly.
By the decision of the majority of companies, the new members of the Administrative Board are Den Bates (Fox TV), Gustavo Navarro (Holcim Srbija), Zoran Petrović
(Raiffeisen bank) and Jelena Kralj (Pedersen&Partners), while the new cashier of the Chamber will be Marko Mićanović (Altis Capital).
The General Manager of "Philip Morris" Skip Bornhiter, the General Manager of "U.S. Steel
Srbija" Richard Viče, and the General Manager of IBM Miloš Đurković will remain the members of the Administrative Board.
