Tender documentation for Belgrade Fair bought by 2 local and 2 foreign companies

The CEO of the Belgrade Fair, Anđelko Trpković, said that four buyers had applied for purchase of tender documentation of the Belgrade Fair, of which sale started six days ago.

According to his words, the tender documentation has been taken over by two foreign companies and two companies from Serbia.

- The tender documentation was bought by Italian company “Rimini fiera SPA” already on the first day, while London-based “ITE” bought it some time later. There are indications that one of the leading German trade fair companies intends to buy the documentation. Local potential buyers are companies or investment chains - said Trpković for today’s issue of “Borba” (February 5, 2009).

He reminded that the Government of Serbia had made the decision not to declare the Belgrade Fairgrounds, as a complex, the monument of culture, but only to put some of its parts under protection of the state.

Trpković added that it could not be estimated how much it would influence the price of the Fair.

According to his words, it is most likely that only Hall 1 will be placed under the protection of the state.

- We are still trying to find the compromise, that is, the elements that can be protected without presenting an obstacle for the future development of the Fair – said Trpković.
