Germans became majority owners of 4 MK Commerce’s sugar plants in Vojvodina ?

Novi Sad-based company, still unofficially, was no longer the majority owner of sugar plants in Vrbas, Kovačica, Bač and Pećinci, the owner, Miodrag Kostić, announced. He did not want to say which strategic partner took over majority share in 4 sugar plants, but there are some indications that it is German Nord Zucker. According to Kostić, the aim of this transaction is that two of four sugar plants become top European factories. He also said that the sugar plant in Pećinci was closest to realization of that plan.
