People from the Privatization Agency announced that it would start negotiations with company “Ringier Serbia” about sale of weekly magazine NIN, but they did not specify when.

According to the announcement, the Tender Commission approved of commencement of negotiations with company “Ringier”, which already owns daily newspaper “Blic”, on February 3rd, 2009. This company offered 800,000 EUR for 70% of public capital, that is, 61.48% of total registered capital of newspaper-publishing company NIN, as well as 186,607 EUR for investments.

It is added that company “Novosti”, the second-ranked bidder on the tender for takeover of NIN, offered 760,000 EUR for the stocks and no money for investments.

Both bidders unconditionally accepted all minimum obligations from the social programme.
