People of certain blood type more prone to sickness on vacations

Experts at the University of Washington have researched the link and found that there truly is a causal relation, regional media report.

It has turned out that people with the A blood type are the most likely to get sick on a vacation, especially on a seaside vacation, the study shows.

The research has shown that they are much more susceptible to stomach infections than people with other blood types, especially in childhood.

Blood analyses have shown that this is related to Escherichia coli, which attacks when the immunity is weakened, which is characteristic of persons with the A blood type.

Scientists therefore advise they strengthen their immunity before going on a trip, trying to prevent a stomach infection, so that their vacation wouldn't be ruined. They should also be careful what they eat and drink only bottled water.
