Kosovo obtained customs code TARIK

Kosovo has its customs code “TARIK”, which will be printed on all documents about import and export of goods from Kosovo instead of customs code of former Yugoslavia that was used by Unmik’s customs officials.

Kosovo’s Integrated Rate (TARIK) is a customs system that determines the registration and method of performance in export and import. The code is applicable to all kinds of goods.

As a matter of fact, that is the code that classifies goods, assigns additional codes and determines taxes.

The whole project TARIK was elaborated under supervision of Unmik’s customs. It was financed by European Commission. Code TARIK, which is based on international tariff system in Harmonized System of International Customs Organizations and on combined nomenclature of EU, will be updated every year in accordance with the new combined nomenclature.
